Well it took me a while to build up the personal pride and feel to own a true Fender. I felt I deserve one now and can do it justice to play a true Fender.

2011 American Deluxe SSS maple neck. Can't complain, now if only my amp will keep working. Blackstar HT 60 Stage sounds beautiful with the guitar plugged in.

I feel invigorated to learn more and improve my sound.

Who else has felt inspired by sheer sound and touch of their Fender?

Nothing inspires me as much to play the blues as a good old Strat does!

Ever since I saw the Beatles play on the Ed Sullivan Show back in the 60's, I've always been inspired to play. I just love the sound of a guitar!

My first real guitar was an SG, a used 60's my parents purchased for me on my 13th birthday along with a Fender Princeton Reverb too, I got a Muff Box a few months later. I was turned off by the SG's unstable neck, too wobbly for my tastes.

...Fender turned me off for a long time, too many people played the strat and I did not like single coil hum at all.

I wanted to do something different than what everybody else was doing so I bought many different types of guitars but was never fully satisfied. Finally, ...37-years later, I decided to give a strat a whirl. Long story short, I did experience the Fender magic and found myself extra inspired to play from that point forward.

And, one night..., no joke, I swear I felt Leo's spirit enjoying my playing as I played effortlessly; so effortlessly, while playing, I found myself in deep thought about the design of the guitar and that's when it happened. I felt Leo's presence strong. It was...spooky, but spooky good!

And thus far, ...I've found magic in every single American Fender I've played! So, ...I know that there will always be a Fender out there and I don't have to get too attached to one guitar anymore!

...had Gibson gone with Les Pauls idea to do a neck-thru on the SG, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation, however. ...an SG, coil tapped with a neck-thru and a floyd rose, dear sweet mother of guitars!

Congratulations! 17 and own a Fender, lol, there are a lot of people 2 and 3 times your age getting their first Fender. I've had Fender guitars and basses for years. Always loved the Fender sound.

One word of advice, keep it! If you get rid of it down the road, you'll be sorry. I speak from experience.

I could be wrong but I took his title to mean he's been playing guitar for 17 years and finally owns a Fender. Not that he's 17 years old.

There are so many young guys and girls here now, I didn't take the time to really read the post.

My advice still stands, don't get rid of it.

Glad for you man! I don't have a USA Strat YET, Hopefully down the road soon. But I finally got me a 1997 Fender USA made HRD A few weeks ago. Retubed with JJ's and ordered a Weber 12F150 Speaker. Waiting on it. So I know how you feel for owning a real Fender USA product. Sounds awesome now and Weber will break-in the speaker for me for no additional cost. Should be a killer amp! 8)
