Hi guys I'm new to this forum. Can any of you kindly tell me if this fender is real or fake. If it is real where is it made and in what year. Thank you in advance.

Hi Rakib, I tried clicking on the thumbnails & I'm not getting anything. The pics are too small as they are. You should contact the seller & ask for some good pics of the headstock & body front & back & post them here yourself. cheers

TBH, I'm not sure if it's real. According to the SN, it's from the early '70s. But according to Fender, they didn't start using this type of SN until the mid '70s. But don't worry yet, I'm not such a great expert on vintage Strats. Some of the other guys here can give you more accurate info. JMO only, it looks it's age, & the headstock conforms to that era. Sorry I can't help you more than that.

If it is real, it definitely isn't stock. I checked the SN on a few of those sites that confirm the SNs & it doesn't register on those. One digit apparently is missing.

Yeah I should stay away from this one. I too couldn't find anything on the web. And right as I was typing this I checked the head stock again I noticed instead of serial number it's written serial "nomber" and I guess that my friends solves our case. It's weird how all the people to whom I showed the picture didn't notice it. Pretty scary fake :x

It's a fake
As has been pointed out the word "number" is spelt wrong, also the headstock is the wrong shape and the logo is too far up towards the strings.
The word "stratocaster" in bold black, should almost follow the curve of the headstock
On top of that, the string tree has been positioned wrongly and it looks like (from the swirl marks in the laquer) that someone has spun it round to try and make it reach the strings
Also, the string spacing inbetween the first and second strings is too close at the nut

Good call Ted. Just goes to show, all you have to do is just take time & look at the details & it becomes obvious.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen that type of Fender logo. It just looks a bit off in thickness.
