I absolutely love it. I truly dig the strat and tele models and the humbucker mode too. The Accoustic models are okay.

I can't say enough about the tuning models either. So cool.

Only knock, besides price ($1600 at GC) is that the battery life is pretty darn short. Also I wish the modeling system would be bypassed (power) in normal strat pickup mode. The light is still on and I assume power is being drained. I get just under 10 hours on high quality AAs. I need to invest in a battery charger.

Yes it is. It's a mid-1954. The serial number is only 4 digits

Kick $@!! ...Just out of curiosity, is the serial number on the backplate or the neck plate, if you don't mind me asking?

It's on the neck plate. That makes it among the second "batch" of production Strats, before they bumped the serial numbers up about 5000 to bring it in line with their other guitars/basses.

This is a 65% original one-piece bodied Strat. It's an early '80s restoration. It was spray painted blue and was missing it's original plastic and electronics. The blue came off easily and the original sunburst finish was touched up. It got a new pickguard and early 1970 electronics and pickups. I had it refretted and the neck was oversprayed. I put Texas Special pickups in it in mid-1990. That's its story!

Just took some new pics of the guitar in my dorm room. I had to give one of the Zeppelin posters some love.

Here is my 07 American Deluxe Strat and Yeah that is a Hello Kitty Strat! It belongs to my daughter but I do play it on a regular basis. It has such a cool distorted tone!

The Am. Deluxe has the smoothest tone and silkiest neck of any guitar I have ever played!

sadly no i did not paint that. i just went to the local air brush artist gave him a few pictures and a clapton dvd. then i bought the rest on ebay. the paint job took about three weeks and i had it all put together in about a year. it has the same electronics and pickguard as the clapton model. the body is just a standard strat and the neck is standard also. someday i will have enough money to buy the custom clapton neck, but for now this neck is perfect.

Classic '50s Stratocaster, plays great (when there are strings on it)!
