This is my latest purchase; a 1975 Strat. It's currently being refretted and getting a new bone nut at Philtone Guitars.

my 92 MIM partscaster

92 MIM body, 2012 Blacktop neck, Super Distortion Bridge pickup, stock middle pickup, Lace Sensor Blue neck pickup.

Also moved the volume knob and added a killswitch, it's recently become my #1 again after the new neck! Couldn't stand the vintage frets that came stock on it.

just scored this MIA sunburst Strat for $500 flat from a pawn shop with the original hard case. 1995 model & I'd say 9 out of 10 on condition.Image

And I seem to be the first to post a 2010 MIM FSR in Sunfire orange sparkle.

My Son caught me practicing the other day, you can see I changed out the knobs for knurled chrome ones, like a telie has.
I found this guy on e-bay (You really can find just about anything there) who makes engraved custom neck plates, I had this one made for me, it is a limited edition, and the serial number was of my own choosing, I have no idea as to how many will be made I guessed at it, and since 43 is my Harley riding group number (Very long story) I choice it for the number. Now if I put this on with the intent of defrauding someone into thinking this was a Fender custom shop, I should be taken out and horsewhipped. But my guitar is a FSR and a limited run The limited on the plate is correct, and it does not say fender custom shop, so I do not feel I am being untruthful here.

Besides, I ain't selling it, and if push came to shove, I would indeed put the stock plate on so there would be no confusing.

Here's a closer shot of the neck plate.

Wow, July 27th 2010.....so much has changed since I posted these I felt the need to redue this post with the new pictures of my Guitar......

Okay, as you can see, I have a problem, I just can't leave well enough alone.
I replaced the stock pick-ups with Fender Custom shop models, the neck and bridge are 1969's (Yes, they are AY marked) and the middle one is a fat 50's RWRP. The pots are switchcraft and the cap has been replaced with a Russian made sealed Paper and oil PF22 cap.
The pickguard is a Fender gold anodized aluminum and well as the tremolo cover (That was no fun to find). finally I replaced the tremolo with a brass block model.

Yes, I sure dumped a bunch of money into a guitar that will never be worth more then 500 bucks at best.......good thing I am not going to sell it....she sure does sound great tho....

Yap, it's a sickness I tell you.....

I just got this guitar back from Philtone Guitars. Phil did a great job with the refret and making the bone nut. The guitar plays wonderfully. I did replace the white pickguard (which was aftermarket) with a black '76 pickguard I wasn't using. I really like the black pickguard with white pickup covers and knobs. I'll try to post some photos in the next few days.

My two Strats...
Blacktop HSH in titanium silver and my '62 AVRI.

The '62 RI is the quintessential stratocaster tone... the Blacktop is very cool... get's great vintage hot PAF tone... but still sounds like a strat all the same... good tones for sure... been playing that one most since I got it a few weeks back.

I'm new/old here. I had a username I couldn't log into anymore. Password recovery was a bust. I used to be KevinCv, but now I'm this.

Anyway, here's my 2007 Classic Player 50s strat with upgraded Texas Specials and Hipshot tuners. Couldn't handle the intonation issues with the "vintage style" tuners. Fender always says "vintage tuners" like its a good thing. Anyway, I'm thinking about going back to a plain white single ply pickguard as the old stuff is starting to become cool again, or at least people are becoming more aware of the old stuff's coolness.
