Thanks for the Welcome and helping me out... You know it's funny how I have been playing for all this years while ignoring the existence of this guitars. If come to realize that these guitars are more than guitars.. they are your best friend. Awesome piece of equipment.

Windex you won't find a friendlier forum when it comes to Fender. As far as the Stratocaster goes I find it to be a very versatile instrument. I play other guitars but my favorite is and always has been the Strat.

Bought this is 1987 or early 88 and everything is original except the pickguard and knobs. Always (at that time) wanted a black strat with a maple neck. It was gigged pretty heavily in the late 80's and early 90s when I played in a band. Great playing guitar.

I could have sworn I posted mine in the thread, but no, I didn't it would seem.

And I seem to be the first to post a 2010 MIM FSR in Sunfire orange sparkle.

My Son caught me practicing the other day, you can see I changed out the knobs for knurled chrome ones, like a telie has.
I found this guy on e-bay (You really can find just about anything there) who makes engraved custom neck plates, I had this one made for me, it is a limited edition, and the serial number was of my own choosing, I have no idea as to how many will be made I guessed at it, and since 43 is my Harley riding group number (Very long story) I choice it for the number. Now if I put this on with the intent of defrauding someone into thinking this was a Fender custom shop, I should be taken out and horsewhipped. But my guitar is a FSR and a limited run The limited on the plate is correct, and it does not say fender custom shop, so I do not feel I am being untruthful here.

Besides, I ain't selling it, and if push came to shove, I would indeed put the stock plate on so there would be no confusing.

Here's a closer shot of the neck plate.

The usual......

My latest collection of used parts, crudely assembled to resemble a legendary guitar.

MIM '60s Classic re-issue neck, with Kluson single-line repro tuners
MIJ '62 re-issue body in Teal Green Metallic
Custom Shop 57/62 pickups tied to CTS/CRL electronics with cloth push-back wiring on a mint-green '62-style pickguard, with aged white covers and knobs
MIA vintage-style bridge with steel trem block
Repro "PATENT PENDING" saddles and serial-numbered neck plate

Plays well, sounds outrageous, and might actually be mistaken for a real Stratocaster. I couldn't ask for much more.

Arjay

HEY!! I noticed you have that 05 Alvarez acoustic. I have the EXACT same one, and i've never met anyone else with this guitar. I don't know about you, but its probably the best Folk-styled acoustic I have ever played. I was wondering, is it just me, or do you love that guitar?!
