anybody have any idea as to why I can't view page 142 of this topic? Can anyone else? it keeps telling me no posts are found on that topic

Also, on that last one ^^ aged pickups / knobs would look amazing. It just belongs in a texas bar.

When a new post pushes a thread to a new page, sometimes the server can't decide what page it's really on. On a long thread, I have learned always to start one page before the last one instead. 8)

Gracias. And that "last one" that I referred to was the black / tortoiseshell :)

Lite Ash Strat
I like how this guitar only has the Fender logo on the headstock and nothing else 8) You can't really see the wood grain, birdseye on the neck, or the beautiful inlays in this picture, but it's the only one I have. Installed Graphtech string saver saddles. string trees, and nut. Also some Fender locking tuners. The combination allows me to tune only once a week at the most. I'm in love with this guitar. :D

EDIT: How do you insert pictures? I can't get it to work.

Upload the image to photobucket or something, and it should give you a tag for it. or just right click it and do view image, then paste that url on here between

Here's a 50's Japanese Strat copy, not a real Fender, but pretty cool nonetheless.

I'm also building a strat, and my first real guitar was a blue hardtail Squier. I still use that bad boy for slide afer raising the action

Wow! We've seen a few of those around here (search for the "Lonely Boy" thread for an example of one). They are called the "Vietnamese Stats" even though they were probably made in the Phillipines (US soldiers in the VietNam war bought them) in the late '60s and early '70s (not made in the '50s, for example, that's a '60s Fender logo they are copying).

Somebody needs to tell CAFeathers that Fender made his guitars backwards.

You're right, I don't know why, but it does look 'Texan'. LOL... And nothing to do with SRV.

Very nice Alain, very unique too- I bet that design is an artist one-off?

Wow, these Strats are making me drool** I just ordered my First Fender Stratocaster yesterday from Fullers Guitars. I tried to find a shop local that had the one I wanted or a local shop who would order the one I wanted in for me, but know one would really help me. I did hear we might be able to order it but it could take 4 months and they told me,, when I called back they haden't even called Fender & didn't seem to remember my call,,,, I was bummed .. Until I found Fullers Guitars, anyways, They had the 1962' Reissue American Vintage Strat in SeaFoam Green Nitro in stock**. So I Snatched it up* It will be in the hands of UPS for the next few days while its in transit to my hands*** Dag,, the waiting is the hardest part. As soon as she shows I will upload some pics here.. Meanwhile I'm enjoying the show on this thread You all have some sweet Stratocasters thanks for posting the Candypics****
