Thanks guys. I did the paint job myself, I was a cabinet finisher for a few years. 2 stage job; Silver metallic base with Orange Kandy and epoxy clearcoat. I love to tinker on guitars and since I've nothing left to do with the electronics, the body was the next logical step. :)
Bigtufguy, what color is yours?

Hi SOI, The color was listed at Elderly Instruments as "midnight wine". It was a leftover and I got it for the leftover price. They had three left. One in black, one in blue and this one. Oddly enough, I would probably have picked the midnight wine color if I had a hundred to choose from. Didn't like the white pickguard and knobs so, I swapped them out for aged pearl.

SonOfIAm, great paint job and beautiful guitar. I've got a question and it's going to sound stupid so please get your laughter out now. . .

Ok, I noticed in your pics that the saddles appear with the slot facing out. My '08 Am Std has the saddles facing the other way (with the "open end" facing out?). I've had individual saddles rotate so that the slot faces outward while changing strings but I always put it back "the way it was when I bought her." Does the way that the saddles face affect the sound, tuning stability, etc.?

Anyway, I know it's a dumb question but I've always wondered what the answer was. Aesthetically, I like the saddles turned with the slot facing outward like SonOfIam.

Thanks for all the compliments, I was wondering if I chose the right color :?

BigTufGuy:
I almost went with a color similar to yours, more of a mahogany though. Thought it would look to "woody" but yours looks nice!

raf66:
The only dumb question is the one you don't ask :P . There should only be one way for the saddles to correctly sit on the bridge. The saddles on mine have a squared bottom and rounded top front edge with a groove for the string to sit in. Here's a close-up of mine:
