I think all the plastics are white on the original.

Black covers on the Lace Sensors for sure. Black pick guard. The selector switch may have a white tip. Sorry....I don't have a current photo to support this. The polka dots, smaller, and a denser pattern than on the MIM...

Ah..yes!! That's 'The Dalmation.' I guess we were talking at cross purposes. Me referencing the black on white. I wondered what it was about the OP's photo which 'bothered' me. I much prefer the all white. As I remarked before. I asked about the availability of that guitar and was told it wasn't.

Would like it with active electronics...Gold Lace Sensors with white covers.

Well...we known what's in the MIM...no way to know how this one is wired. It could be stock, or Clapton platform much as his MIA is, but with a different neck carve. There's also a white on red, which I've seen around.

If I ordered this one Masterbuilt it would be active electronics, White Gold Lace Sensors, solid maple neck, Clapton neck carve, 21 medium jumbo frets, 9.5 radius, lightly tinted. TK built. $5K easy bet.

what BG strat model is that? I've seen black with white dots, but never reversed. is it an FCS model?

It's a MIM, I believe. About three or four years ago Musician's Friend was offering three MIM "Buddy Guy" models for $259 and it was near Christmas so I got one. Its all stock, just as I received it.

Hey, sgtvdub, everyone calls his guitar his "baby"--but you're the first one I've seen who actually has a changing table for his!

That's a sweet Strat--welcome to the forum! 8)
