I'm not familiar with the PRS color but Fender calls it, or called it before they stopped offering it, transparent cobalt blue. Rumor has it that the blue and red colors were too dark under certain conditions to really show the grain so they only offer a burst and amber now I think. Too bad as I really love the unusual colors.

Do you still have that 35th Anniversary Strat ?
I think it's one of the best made Strat and the ebony fingerboard brings a silky touch unheard of on other Strats with a different wood for the fingerboard.

I sure do! Though it only gets out for special occasions these days. I have agree with you though, that an ebony fretboard on a strat is really something special. The mid boost on the 35th is also very cool, in fact so cool, Clapton still uses it!
