My gilmour inspired strat....3 piece alder, Japanese neck, first time cutting of bone nut, vintage tuners, Self mad solid steal sustain block (notice the drill bit broke off in the black? DAMN IT!), Tonerider Blues pups, completely shielded, 64 yr old wax tone cap, 64 yr old cloth wrapped wiring, refretted with vintage frets by myself, self made waterslide, vintage amber tinted neck, black Nitro on body with clear Nitro over the entire guitar. so acoustic i dont even need an amp! Very SICK if i do say so myself!

change the tuners. i have this thing for the fender pings
i find them to keep the guitar in tune very well. other than that you
did a fantastic job.

sharp group! I have been a fan of Gretsch for a long time. Now that there are some affordable ones out there I might have to get one when I get another job The strat and the Swede are awesome too! Wish I could try out one of those. :)

I utterly agree with you on this! The vintage Gotoh style doesn't just look great (and authentic), but they keep tune very well and are easy-peasy to change strings on!

Drool away!! :D

there are a lot more in this forum to drool over before a squire

not dissing squires, i have one myself, but the other strats in this forum would cause the squire to spontaneously combust if it were placed in their presence

First pic is my Squier Strat I redid. It was a plain black Squier and I repainted it, reshaped the headstock and changed all the hardware and pickups. The second is my favorite Strat I have played. It is a late '84 made in Japan Strat with the pickups replaced with Fender custom Shop pickups.
