I'm thinking I have to get the VG-v-neck in this finish. The PRS may have to go.

I highly respect your down-to-earth, open-minded point of view (POV).
Some really nice Strats between this post and your question. YES... I had a hand in the production of the "F" Soundhole stickers by JOCKOMO.
I was the one who wrote to him a few months ago suggesting he add them to his line of designs. I sent photos and measurements for both the
Tele's Thinline type and the Rickenbacker 300 series. Jockomo blended the two for a third design called a Combo. That's the one on my Strat.
I plan to get the SRV Ocher Vine to place just behind the bridge. Not only do the stickers look great, stay in place and are super-thin, they are
also easily removed. No matter how long you 'dress up' your axe with any of these stickers, they aren't permanent. Plus..... as I pointed out
before, you might find some thing or some place else to apply such a design other than your guitar. Sure can't hurt to look over all of his stock
........ now, can it? LOL

Dont do it mate. Leave the VG be a couple of years, the software and its intergration into the guitar will of improved no end, and lets face it the hillands a classic waiting to accumilate value.

I have to agree 100%..... the VG has already seen one upgrade with Noiseless pick-ups.....
I am waiting for Fender to make it with both a direct power line option and User-Interface. When those
finally happen, one will be coming home with me...... but until then..........

Here is the one I received as an exchange once they cracked my finish. It's got a different grain to the ash. Here it is. From my view the first one looked like a 2 piece body while this one is most surely one piece. Sienna Sunburst is the way to go. When I saw this color it was my compromise between the beautiful finish on a heritage cherry LP and that classic sound of a strat! Never regretted it. Love The Ash!

I believe I see the seam in the picture of the back; it goes right down the middle. You may have to look under the pickguard to see the seam on the front.

They did a wonderful job matching it up ... congrats on a real beauty.

Thats a nice looking finish. I have seen some nice Thin Skin Series guitars the bodies seem to always have a good grain look.
