^ I'm not sure what to say :? Duct tape for.. esthetics? Or is there reason behind the madness? Looks like some crazed duct-taped-take of EVH's guitar.. Either way, poor strat :( ( )

eh, I wanted to make a guitar that looked like its a piece o' junk, but in reality is a beast, which is what I got. Now Its colored with silver sharpie and nothin is black except for where the pickguard used to be and the silver has been sanded to give it a matte faded type finish. other than that it looks the same.

It's inspired by the frank, yeah. alot actually. notice the quarter and penny facing each other lol

MR PERRY

it looks like you enjoy that guitar. Its not to my tastes but i cant condemn you for it, my main metal gig axe, a dinky has stickers from every country i've played it in. I cant really post any pics of it, im sure the last time i tried here the picture got removed because of vulgar content.

It looks you upgraded to a new tremelo?
Did you change out the pickups, too?

Here's the latest, just picked it up today so I only have time for a quick cell photo session. It's a 2003 American Series, Hardtail, double-fat strat. I'm pretty impressed with the 5-way switching with the push-button on the Volume knob. Tons of options, but not too many practical ones. Definitely worth the deal I scored off of ebay. I remember when these were out and it was nearly impossible to find them anywhere. I'm just glad I waited and found a nice one. I think I may toss the tortoise guard from my Big Apple on here and turn the "Apple into a lonestar, or at least change the neck pickup. I'm tired of the '59 that's in it now. I'm not sure what pickups are in this one, but they sound great through my Mesa F50, Closed-Back 2X12 cab setup. Great head by the way, as long as you don't expect it to be something it's not. ....Man I love that hard tail! Image Image

And the funny thing is ... that 'dood' may very well revolutionize guitar playing as we know it.

And in twenty-odd years Fender will do a special signature Strat model to exactly duplicate every coin and piece of duct tape.
:o
