Bill Bailey had a nice one which gently points up the essential stupidity of the whole thing:

ROFLYSST

Rolling On the Floor Laughing - Yet Somehow Still Typing

Cheers - C

Even research papers are becoming filled with acronyms. Seems that they don't want to have to write words like 'diethylaminoparabenzoic-2[6-benzyl]-1,5-nitrofuran', more than once. In the abstracts they offer a glossary of terms so that the paper can be read. BTW, this is the way language evolves. Once used often enough, a word form will find its way into the dictionary.

My Daughter is an English Professor in Kingsboro College and her students submit their papers filled with these abreviations. They have to rewrite their reports in order to receive a passing grade but they take it for granted that this is an accepted way of writing.

Now that my standard refraining disclaimer has been completely sorted out, maybe I should contract it all the more to: "AATIMIMOWYMMV".

Well, judging from the past and present, if the NYS Board of Regents has anything to say, it will be. Gotta get'em out of school any which way possible.

Why can't we all just type out what we mean and avoid the possibility of being misunderstood?

I'm usually better off if people aren't completely certain I said what I did.

If you're going to start a "NGD" thread....pictures are not optional.

Thank you.

:D

Wow I always tell people to post pics when they can. Not everyone has access to their cameras or computers at all times. As for myself I have never posted any false claims to owning gear or obtaining new gear.

I know I recently posted a thread stating that I just purchaced a new Blacktop Floyd Rose HH. I bought this as a project guitar. It has not been modded yet but if you absolutely need pics, watch the thead. The pics will be up as soon as I figure out how to save pictures feom my phone to Photobucket. I have not tried to do this yet.
