I see a MIM club. Just wondered If we had a MIA club? The search did not lead me to one.

Keep Jammin! Enjoy Life!

I have an illness! I am addicted to guitars or stringed things. Can't see or have enough!

I thought I seen one a couple years ago. I have 2 MIA Stratocasters. A 2007 Highway 1 and a 2011 American Standard.

Owners of American Strats don't need club membership to stroke each other's egos. Simply by owning one they are already part of a deeply spiritual secret society but you have to have 3 before anybody will sponsor you for the ceremonial intitiation rite and teach you the secret handshake. Shhhh .... don't tell the mimmers.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Darn one more to go before I finally learn the secret handshake.

I got my first MIA strat this year as an early Christmas gift from my wife.

It's a 2011 American Deluxe in Sunset Metallic.

I've only had one other strat in the past - a 1984 Japanese Squire - and a cheap strat knockoff. The Squire was cool because it was one of the first Squire guitars and arguably just as good as or better than the MIA Fender guitars of the time.

The knockoff served its usefullness - strat-like tones when I couldn't afford a decent strat.

From here on in there is no turning back. MIA or nothing. The only requirements beyond MIA that I have for my strats is 1) locking tuners and 2) some form of "noiseless" single coil (N3, SCN, Vintage Noiseless, or some other single coil sized humbucker).
