IMO, no one truly famous would own up to it here for if they did (and let's be realistic about this), they'd be hounded to the point of where ultimately, they'd have to excuse themselves and leave. Anonymity has its own rewards.

Ha - I just discovered there's an At The Point of Dying club on Facebook. I haven't joined.

Anyway. Henry Fonda on the right, Charles Bronson on the left. So there's a couple of famous people who are now on the Forum. 8)

Ah-ha! Pretty high on my list too. 8)

I love the moment when Claudia Cardinale arrives off the train and is pushing through the crowds and then the camera rises up till it can see over the station roof to the town being built beyond with all the activity and detail, and the music does its fabulous swell.

Leone famously said sound is at least 40% of a film and he had always wanted to have the score composed and recorded first so that he could then shoot his scenes to fit the soundtrack, but Once Upon a Time in the West was the first time they actually managed to make that happen. Ennio Morricone says they had the music for that scene playing on set as they filmed it, and Leone actually timed the rise of the camera on its crane to fit the crescendo exactly.

...I'm quite geeky about this stuff! :D

Cheers - C

I trust you have the special edition DVD's which have all that trivia on them. It's a must for anyone who loves that film. I remember being impressed by that scene you describe as well, not to mention the first time you see Frank's closeup and learn that it's Fonda playing the role of a totally sociopathic killer. Of interest is the detail in the narrative version about the open scene in the film. There's so much crammed into that version that it's a pity for a fan of the movie not to own it.
