No, not at all. Because if you knew who we all are, you would know who we are, and WE are famous!

Ah the old fame game eh, just a quick tip if you can't find fame through your own endeavors just let it be , never try to rub shoulders with or indeed of  the "famous" as screams of SECURITY and scuffles often ensue, and "M'lud my client contends that Miss Jolie looked really cold at the time of the offence" does not seem to hold water in todays judicial proceedings

'Cause I'm the winner, no, I'm not the loser
To be an M.C. is what I choose 'a
Ladies love me, girls adore me
I mean even the ones who never saw me
Like the way that I rhyme at a show
The reason why, man, I don't know
So let's go, 'cause

Who am I????

Eric Clapton starts most of the maple v rosewood threads.

And Eddie Van Halen has started a few threads about how much you can mod a guitar and still call it a Fender.

Of course, all these people post under assumed identities. You have to know what you're looking for if you want to spot them. 8)

I assume that you are joking.

Hi paris: I've been assuming that everyone on this thread is joking. But I could be wrong.

I agree. I was just really curious if famous people (like Beck or Clapton) would actually take the time to visit the site. I know Clapton is a pretty private guy. I can't say I blame him. He's been bothered by people for years; sometimes in a very nasty ways.

I've ran into famous people before and I try not to make a big deal out of it. I got to see and meet Buddy Guy and Robert Cray. Robert Cray was cool and signed my Strat.

Buddy on the other hand was being hauled away by his manager. I was able to get his attention, but when he turned around I thought, "It's after 11PM and this guy just played for like 2 hrs." I didn't want to bother him, so I said, "Thanks for a great show and have good night." That was it. I didn't get the Strat signed, but I was really glad that I got to meet one of the guys who made me want to play the Blues. So if I happen to meet Clapton I'd probably just ask him for the time and let him live a nice quiet life.

Good for you - that's the cool way to go. 8)

Do you remember that Youtube clip where a guy found Clapton washing his clothes at a laundromat and shoved his cameraphone in Eric's face, exclaiming; "Wow, Eric Clapton - doing his laundry! Wow!" Clapton was smooth about it - but the guy with the camera sure wasn't.

I like your style better, paris.

Cheers - C

Please don't even ask for the time, I can't even do my laundry without a fricken camera stuck in my face :x :x :x

p.s. I didn't start the Maple vs. Rosewood post, that was Gilmore...he still can't make up his mind! And Jeff says he was the one that started the "Wheres the MIA Club"...just so we get this all straight!

One that cannot deny his Fame is most assuredly....... Andy-Big-Hair.
Accounts of Numerous Sightings across the Pacific Northwest repudiate any such claims to the contrary....

I saw that video and another one like it where people are badgering the guy for an autograph while he's stopped at a light. It's a sad world we live in.

Clapton wrote one of the most inspiring stories I ever read in one of the chapters of his auto biography.
