BTW: if I'm an international spy then I either have the most blown cover in history or it is all some deep triple-bluff of such fiendish deviousness even I can't work out what it means...

"Xhefri- Ultimate & Stratplus guru also known for his knowledge of volcanoes."
What a let down, I used to be married to Celine Dion and Gloria Estefan. Doesn't that count for something? Or was that the knowledge of volcanoes you were talking about???

I have to go by an assumed name these days.......because 'back in the day'.....my record sales rivaled, if not surpassed......Slim Whitman and Zamfir (master of the pan flute!).

Does the name Festus McCorkendale and the All Night Pounders ring any bells?........

Let's keep this on the down low.......

I think that band released their record about the same time (do not tell anyone) as my band The Colombian Brand Band just came on the scene....... 8)

Jeff Beck comes here every so often to ask questions about how to keep a Strat in tune: it's been quite a problem for him.

Eric Clapton starts most of the maple v rosewood threads.

And Eddie Van Halen has started a few threads about how much you can mod a guitar and still call it a Fender.

Of course, all these people post under assumed identities. You have to know what you're looking for if you want to spot them. 8)

I assume that you are joking.

Well, I can't speak for Eddie but when I was doing some wiring jobs for Jeff and Eric's guitars last week, both said they found the Fender Forums to be a wealth of knowledge where they wished such information was available to them decades ago.

I agree that this website is great and very useful. I really wish that Fender would make a few links to the following:
1. Past model information by year.
2. Examples of every Fender color by model and year.
3. Sound bites of the different types of pick ups. Kind of like what they did a few years ago, but removed. I'd really like to hear what the difference between Fat '50s and CS '54s.
