Hello,

I have an interesting strat of Fender.

The serial number says that this is a 1997 Fender Mexico Ensenada made. It's black and it has got white pickguard and rosewood neck. It is HSS also.

But, these are the interesting points.

1) On the headstock, it is written Squier.
2) Back of the neck, it is written Made In Mexico and serial number correct.
3) It has Floyd Rose II system as a bridge.
4) It has Usa Standard Body.
5) THESE ARE ALL ORIGINAL. THIS GUITAR IS NEVER MODIFIED.

Do you know this kind of MIM Strat?

Thank You!

Your guitar is a Richie Sambora Standard Strat.

Why would it say "Squier" on the headstock?

Please post detailed photos of the guitar if you want any further help: overall, headstock front and back, body showing pickups and trem, body underneath the pickguard, underside of pickguard, heel of the neck, neck pocket, and anything else that might be useful.

Or, send your serial number to

consumerrelations@fender.com

Hey, photos are loaded on first message, you can see them from there.

I sent a mail to consumerrelations@fender.com,I've been waiting for 3 weeks but they didn't give an answer.

Now, what do you think about this guitar?

Thanks!

It was a period the Ensenada plant also manufactured Squier guitars.

The Floyd Rose II tremolo was a standard feature on your guitar and the aforementioned Sambora Standard I was talking about on my previous post.

I suggest you starting a new thread in the Squier Guitars discussion lounge where you'll find the right answers you're looking for concerning your guitar.

Well, it's definitely not a Sambora Strat.

Give them time. What with Thanksgiving and Christmas, I'm sure things have been a little hectic at Fender. Try e-mailing them again after the New Year's.

I have a black Squier Silver Strat which was made circa 1990/91.

The guitar in its present form uses Gold Lace Sensor pickups and white plastic parts. There's no active circuitry installed and the neck has been refretted with 21 jumbo frets. Standard wing tree was swapped for a modern easyglider string guide and the 6-screw bridge for an American 2-point pivot trem. Has Gotoh cast-sealed tuners with staggered posts.

Here's a photo from my guitar:
