Just got my first non-Squier Strat - a 2006 MIM Standard. I am a middling player and just want to get this Strat set up and maybe get the frets looked at. I am in Toronto. I have done basic set up but I think it needs more love and attention to be better. I have also learned that taking the time to get things properly set up by knowledgeable people can be beneficial

Can anyone tell me about good techs that can do the work, but won't charge an arm and a leg for a good solid set up of my new baby? I know about 12th Fret etc but I don't really want to wait what seems like a long time (4-8 weeks).

Any guidance is much appreciated.
