I picked up a strat from a pawnshop. I am a bass player & picked it up beacuse it was cheap. It is USA made dates to 2001. It has a metal nut & a double coil in lead position. What model is this?

But tell me, does the "metal nut" look like this, with little ball bearings around the strings?



If so, then by the power of ESP I wonder if perhaps you have an American Deluxe HHS Strat, possibly with an ash body.

Or does the nut look more like this?



I think the Strat Plus had ended by 2001 so if the nut looks like that it's possibly a Jeff Beck Signature model - is it Surf Green?

Frankly, a few more clues will yield better guesses. Pix...?
