Hello everyone and i'm sorry for my english, i wanted to ask an opinion .... I just bought a stratocaster sienna sunburst American Standard USA, after a few days I realized that I had missed a detail, the iron plate fixed to the handle body shows the etching 60 anniversary of the telecaster.
At this point it back to the store and the dealer immediately proposed the replacement of the plate but I asked for the replacement of the guitar because I do not think it makes sense to disassemble a new guitar with all that it can achieve.
You think I am right or i am too picky?
.........of course the guitar I was not replaced, I was told to wait for the representative who will assess the situation ...... my story with Fender did not begin in the best way, we hope good

All the dealer had to do was loosen the strings, remove the 4 screws that hold the plate, body, and neck together, and install the proper plate. I bet you could even have gotten a free setup of the guitar as compensation for your time. You refused and now you have to wait for a Fender rep who will probably tell the store to replace the plate. Too bad. You chose poorly.

Sorry to hear about your problem. You bought a very nice guitar, which cost a considerable amount of money. As a customer you should expect the dealer to make it right. If it’s just a case of the wrong neck plate on the guitar, then it should be OK to have the dealer place the correct one on the guitar. My only concern is that the guitar hasn’t be messed with. Do all of the other components seem to be correct? Have you looked under the pick guard? Most importantly, how does it sound and play? Good luck.

Fender designed the neck to be easily removed and replaced. I have done it with all of my guitars several times.

Changing a neck plate for a knowledgeable tech is no more difficult then putting on ones pants in the morning...I would not worry about it,,,

aren't all the guitars (strats, teles, etc) that are manufactured this year being put together with the 60th anniversary of the Telecaster Neckplates?
