Earlier this year I picked up a Jimmy Vaughn sig model and changed out the Tex-Mex pups for a EMG DG-20 setup. Well now I'm kind of thinking about pulling the bridge pup from my AVHR 57 (DiMarzio Tone Zone) and replacing it with the Tex-Mex Hot Bridge pup from the Jimmy V. model. The other 2 pups in the AVHR 57 are Samarium Cobalt Noiseless™ (SCN) Strat® Middle Pickup, and a Samarium Cobalt Noiseless™ (SCN) Strat® Neck Pickup. Do you thing there would be any issues in doing this.
I'm not really up on the pup debates, so my biggest question is are they compatable, and or has anyone tried this setup, and what were your thoughts on it.

I'd keep the DiMarzio TZ and dump the SCN's.

But that's just me (who owns two Strats with SCN's).

or get some boutique single coil pickups
personally, i have the itch for bare knuckle sultans or mothers milk but love the tone on both hr series strats i have.
you have a jimmie vaughn with emg sa DG pickups.
and a hr57 strat. correct?
the emgs should have you covered with od distortion tones, i would set up some vintage style pickups, for that clean growl tone on that hr57 strat for variety.
