Do you enjoy the guitar?

If so, then who cares if it's a fake. Hell I've had 2 fake Fender guitars (with some Fender parts. Pickups and stuff) made and they are both great.

There are high quality fakes and there are low quality fakes ... makes a big difference.

Hello,

I just bought a stratocaster from a friend of mine, and i have a problem determining how old is she. Her serial number is F&S 0486253. It's a Fender Stratocaster Special, probably custom, from a headstock and a little knowledge from the internet i think its from '70s '75 to be specific. On the back plate it says Fender Corona California. I would like you to try and determine yourselves, because i dont have as much knowlege as you guys.

And of course photos:

Also: are these pickups any good? Should i buy some new ones?

Whaattt the??? That has to be one of the weirdest Strat copies I've ever seen. I would scrape off the "Fender Stratocaster" logos just to avoid any future, ahem, confusion. But hey if you got it dirt cheap and it plays nice, roll with it. I would just go all-out with the "rat-rod" guitar thing with it.

I totally agree with that. I'm thinking that if it plays well I'm remove the logo and reshape the headstock and call it a day.

Looking at your photos it got me thinking. If the guitar plays pretty very, I'd say keep it. But I would make some changes.
1. Buy a new pickguard. Maybe a black one
2. Buy an All Parts or Warmoth neck.
3. If the tuning keys aren't very good, buy new tuning keys. If they work well, keep'm.
