I recently decided to replace my pick-guard on my MIM Arctic White Stratocaster with a White Pearl pick guard to match my granddaughters (christmas present) Squier. I did this to make her happy that she has one just like Lolo (filipino for grandfather). The guard I ordered was Fender part number 099-2140-000. I was hoping that maybe someone else replaced their pick guard with this one and that they could post a picture while I wait for the replacement to ship. This is a WEIRD request I know, but I am getting nervous that maybe I ordered the wrong one. NOTE that the picture below is what I am hoping for....

Thank you to anyone who can assist me in this!

Thanks, Anthony -- it was my first "home-built" effort, four years ago.

Rawk on!

I don't like those flat white guards that come stock on strats. The mint/parchment look good though. I like tortoise, or the one you are getting. Dig this one on my cali series strat:

Looking good! I am looking forward to changing mine. I also saw the other day where some guy on eBay makes volume and tone knobs with a white pearl top. I might check those out. I think he was charging $10 each.

Well, the pick guard came in the mail and to tell the truth, I am greatly disappointed. I was expecting bright white and it is WAY too dark. I guess that I was expecting too much, but for me, it is a complete waste of $49. I doubt if I can return it since I removed the protective film....

Maybe it will grow on you? Ordering pickguards is always a crap-shoot. They never look the same in the pics as they do in real life. For what it's worth, I think it will look just fine installed but that's just my 2 cents... GFS has some nice pickguards for cheap and they have always been great in my experience, the holes line up and the fit and finish is great... from the picture, i can't tell if it's single ply or W/B/Pearl... you could always shoot them an e-mail and ask. They have always returned my messages when i've had a question.

That does appear a skosh darker than the one installed on the guitar that you posted the pic of.

Have you actually installed it on your Strat yet for a visual assessment?

Arjay:

Not yet! I did a quick dry fit just to see what it looked like. Not what I was expecting...How do you think it looks?
