I'm guessing the Squire Deluxe is made across seas. MIM strats are pretty decent for the money and have really stepped their game up. The finish on them are pretty nice (MIM).

I would go with the MIM vs the Squire for the same reasons I would go with a MIA vs a MIM. It's just a better quality guitar, will have a better tone and the playability will be better, IMO.
