Actually I am a machinist and had several of my bolt suppliers look into this. here is the problems I found.

Its an 8-32 socket head cap screw 13/32's long and has an 1/8" socket with a dog point on the end of threads.

I can make one I have made a jig to throw an 8-32 in a lathe and turn the end. But...

The socket head in the screw is 9/32's my hex key in the end of my tremolo bar is to small.
So it doesent match.

I could reproduce the whole tremolo actually at work.
I did find a bag of screws and I have found a part supplier but it only solves the current problem. Not the problem of what I will use on future strats.
I think I will go floyd rose blacktop in the future save money and solve my problem.

I bought my strat plus deluxe new in 1997. At first I thought I really liked that bridge. After 14 years of playing it I finally replaced the bridge with the new chrome 2 point deluxe trem that takes the pop in arm. I wish I would have replaced it 14 years ago! The deluxe locking tremolo was a pain.

Fixed string height
A pain to intonate.
Need clippers to trim string end.
Needing an Allen wrench/trem arm to tighten
Barrels easy to lose.
Saddles/screws/barrels rust easy
Parts are hard to find.

My new fender bridge stays in tune just as well and doesn't have any of these annoyances.
Intonating is so easy with a Phillips screwdriver. I could do it before every practice if I was really OCD about it!

Maybe it's just me but I'd hate to see them bring this bridge back. Although it would be nice if you could get parts for it easier.

I dont see how the non locking tremolo would keep you in tune if you really used it,
like Van Halen of Hendrix the way a tremolo is supposed to be used.

I agree that it should only be sold seperatly as an upgrade and parts should be readily available.
Mine has a hex bit on the end of the inserted end of my tremolo bar.
It is a far superior system than a floyd rose better to use and does not rob the guitar of tone like a floyd.

A very few FMT and QMT Deluxe Strats were sold with the deluxe locking bridge assembly.

Too bad these guitars were not available as a part of Fender's regular production lines (possibly a limited-edition Factory Special Run commissioned by Guitar Center and The Music Zoo, perhaps ?).

I had a trouble finding a picture of those gems as a reference.

I now have 2 complete deluxe locking tremolos, a complete spare for mine and spare parts. My Deluxe should last forever now. even if Fender saw fit to stop making this unit and its spare parts.

As I see it my future strats will now be much cheaper Blacktop Floyd Rose Strats fitted with A Dimarzio Super Distortion and an Evolution neck.
