I mostly play my guitars clean. Straghit thru the amp. When switching to one of my humbucker equipped guitars, (the 335 or the jagmaster) Usually, very little tweaking is necessary with the exception of my orange crush 10 s.s. practice amp. But, my fender tubers really do not need hardly any tweaking at all.

I found different amp settings that I liked for each guitar, and I put a little different coloured dot sticker beside the knobs at the positions I liked (Blue for the Strat, Red for the Ibanez, Yellow for the LP copy.) Same for the couple pedals I used. (The dots had a pen line in the middle, to make it easy to dial in.)

Oh and really the only other bit of useful advice I have to offer is... always set your beer on the bass cabinet. If in a two guitar band always encourage the other guitar player to do so as well. Usually the bass cab is higher, thus more convenient, and once you establish it as the beer table, you won't have to worry about your amp getting filthy.

Keeping it simple and doesn't cost me anything. I like it. However the bass cabinet as a beer table should be the quote of the week! 8)

i would lower the bass and volume and gain as some have said.
also, treat it like drop d sets.
seperate sets where you use your strat then your humbuggy guitar.

or take pictures of your settings with your phone, that way you can set it quickly.
