Just curious about your methodology here (no snark intended). You've got all those beautiful and some higher end guitars in there, so why would you purchase an entry level MIM model like the Blacktop?

I got a steal on it. And it played amazing! Looked nice and I thought it would be a great guitar to try out different parts with. Instead of an American one. Swap pickups, hardware whatever. Wouldn't loose any value then.

Are all those guitars in the background yours? If so you have a terrible case of GAS! It's intervention time. Actually I'd LOVE to keep all the guitars I buy but I usually only have 3 at any given time. If I try to push past 3 the wife starts to whine about guitars all over the house and that's too much of a pain to put up with so when I'm Jonesing for a new guitar I have to sell/trade-in one to get it.

My wife is about the same. I've got 6 guitar hangers on the wall. That's all I'm allowed to have. She says if I'm on a one-in-one-out limit. So if I want anything new, I've got to sell one that I've got.

So I started buying amps!

Matt, do you realize you have more inventory
If strats and teles than my local gc?
Congratulations on your collection.

I wish I could have a large collection,
Unfortunately my financial situation
is well enough to pay bills feed my family
leftover money is basically family night
outings.
I'm down to the essentials.
1 great strat hot rod 62
1 really good versatile strat hr 57, depending
On mood and song.
1 Gibson les Paul tribute 50' humbucker
Returned the tele(I loved it btw) got LP
Needed humbuggies for my band.
Martian made me think, he had 1 good
strat and that's all he needs.
I gave up a couple of strats for my
HR62 and don't regret a moment of it.
it truly is my #1

Nice collection!

Do you even remember the characteristics of each and everyone?

Hey Matt.. what's the tally??? i.e. how many Strats how many Teles??

I have now 14 Teles, 40 Strats, 3 Lespauls, 2 PRS's, 1 SG.

 Wow! You could play a one gig a week for an entire year and not use the same guitar twice!

well, that helps.

I'm a Chiropractor, albeit a new one, so I'm just getting to the point where I can afford to buy new guitars as it suits me, but, explaining it to my wife is a whole other story. I've tried to sneak a new guitar in here and there, but I get excited about it, and I have to show her. She hasn't given me any grief about it yet, but I know she's rolling her eyes, saying "what on earth does he need another one for?". I'm afraid if I keep it up, she'll start buying crap she doesn't need.
I was about to buy an MIM strat as a platform for modding, but I want an LP, and I'll have to save a lil extra for that, so I have to lay off the guitar buying for a month or two.
