Why aren't there more Charcoal Frost Metallics out there???

I understand that it's a (relatively) new colour, but what's all the hoo-hah, do people not like it?

Everyone seems to get sunburst, or white, or black nowadays.

Please enlighten me!

Whadda you think about it?

I think newer colors just take a while to catch on. White and black are neutral, and a sunburst just looks classic. Red is also a classic, but people are starting to step away from that, because everyone has played a red guitar.

I think it'll just take someone famous to play a Charcoal Frost Metallic, then people will all be like "Oh well so-and-so played this color, I want this color."

Like me getting a cloud white Strat, a la Hendrix at Woodstock

I personally like the color a lot. I have one that is similar, at least from a distance. Mine is gun-metal satin and I just love it's looks. One thing I don't like as much with the new color is that I've only seen it with a white pickguard. Mine has black and, to me, that just makes it.
I bet they are a little slow rolling out new colors. I'm sure they know exactly what percentage of sales will be the classic/traditional colors like black, white, burst, etc. If that number is, say, 70% for the combined classics, they only have a limited amount of units to paint differently. I don't think they would risk increasing the % of new/unusual colors if they know that 70% of sales will be the classics. So, I think they are left with a lot of colors over, relatively, few units.
Just my guess though. I have no idea what the real %'s are, I'm just guessing by what I see.

If you like that color then get it. Don`t let other more popular colors sway your decision. Your the one who has to be happy with it and if you don`t ge the color you like, you won`t be happy.
