I'm a lefty and considering replacing my American Standard Strat pickups with hot noiseless. I would like to know if there are left and right handed pickups or are they all the same.

If by "Standard Strat" you mean a Mexican Standard Strat, the poles on those pickups just follow the fretboard radius so left/right is irrelevant. However, for pickups that do not just follow the radius, the pickup pole stagger would be different between the two. You need to check the stagger on the HN pickups. I can't tell from the photos I could find. I have never seen left handed pickups by Fender sold separately.

No such thing as left handed pickups.....at least I don't think so! You just turn them around and mount them :)

That will work ONLY if the guitar has a swimming pool or maybe an HSH rout. A right handed pickup will not fit backwards in a regular single coil route.

Note that even though the route is not shown, the pickups in a left handed American Standard Strat are not simply flipped:

I changed pups in the summer, couldn't find lefty pups if my life depended on it!!!

I ended up putting in a set of David Allen CS JM60’s RocknBlues the G&D poles are staggard so I just adjusted height of the pups to be opposite of what they would have been for a righty.

I have to say these pups sound sweet in all positions, check out David's web site at
dallenpickups.com

hope this helps!
one lefty to another!
