Hi everybody,
i am Russian, so my English can be bad))

I`ve recently bought vintage 1985 Fender Stratocaster Made in Japan. And the problem is so:

when i bend the string, its tuning gets down on about 20-30%
but when i use the tremolo, tuning gets back to 0%

Where is the problem?

By the way, i`ve got a tremsetter in my guitar. So the tuners are very good, and i rely on them
the tremolo is standart, vintage 6 point tremolo

Help me please!)

Your trem is not properly set up. To work properly, string tension must equal spring tension. You can start here and find different methods to set up the trem to your likeing:

Hi Ultrazvuk93,

It is normal for the strings to go out of tune when bending with a Strat setup for tremolo use, no way to avoid it except to lock the bridge down so that it doesn't move. When you bend a string, the entire bridge moves normally and the other strings go flat, then return to tune after the bending.

Is this what you mean?

You're getting faster bluesky636.

Thanks for answers))

The problem is:
for example, when i make bend on the 3-d string, its tuning becomes -30%, other strings are still in tune, but when i use tremolo, the 3-d string gets back to 0%

Maybe i failed with tuning of tremsetter?

i can make some photos of my tremolo for better look

Well put. Take that tremsetter out until you've balanced the system. It's likely not working properly on your bends and when you use the trem handle, you're resetting it to zero. Keep in mind that, other than the Jeff Beck guitar, the Strat system is designed to flat the pitch gently, it's not a divebomber trem system. Used properly, Strats usually return to proper pitch. For more extreme use, you'd want a locking trem.

If so, you'll need the help of a guitar tech for this. To return the system to its original components you'll need to remove the hardware in that trem cavity, install a new trem claw and, with at least 3-5 springs, reset and balance the trem system. That takes you back to the beginning. You should also determine if that trem setter has seen better days.

Where do you live??

My experience with that setup is limited. I can only response by suggesting that what you're experiencing with the present installation speaks for itself and perhaps you should someone other that the person who installed it, have a look at it.
