First I would like to say that any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Korean made tie dye strat I bought new years ago. It is the Band of Gypsys model. It was a great guitar for the price and I never regretted buying it until now. I am trying to upgrade the components starting with throwing some better pickups in there. I installed a SD pearly gates in the bridge, and for the neck I purchased a SD Little '59. Here is where I ran into the issue.... the little 59 will not fit in the body of the guitar. It is extremely close to fitting but right at the corners about 1/3 from each side it catches at the very back edge of the pickup hole. I tried to make a diagram but I can't get it to actually post right. I was told I could Dremel and widen the hole, however I am concerned that it will reduce its value if I make such an adjustment. I know the guitar is never going to be a 50,000 gem, but I think it will gain some value just because of the limited run.

1)Should I even consider making an alteration to a not as widely seen guitar like this?
2)Do you think it is worth it to cut the hole to widen and if you do how would you go about fitting this pickup?
