Hi there. Good day to all!!!
I'm having a Strat HH build and I wanted to have a 3-way switch (tele switch) with 1 push/pull pot for coil splitting. Looking at the SD site's wiring diagrams, I was confuse with this two:

http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=2h_1v_1t_3w_1pp

http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=tele_2hum_2pushpull

They are both HH but the Gibson style switch have both PU's red & white wires to push/pull while the Tele style which have green & black from neck and red & white from bridge to push/pull.

The questions are:
- What is the difference between the two?
- Which diagram will do (Pull to split) position1 = bridge slug coil only, position2 = bridge and neck slugs only, position3 = neck slug only?

Thanks in advance!!!

Those wirings are shown with Duncan pickups, so the hot/ground wires will be different from what you have. Whichever one is going to the switch in your guitar is your hot, the other ground (earth).
As for your other question, im too tired to look, and im bouncing out of here in 3....2....1..

Glancing at the second schematic, it looks like they have it wired so the 3 way is just doing the neck/both/bridge, and the push/pull are splitting the coils. Like a PRS McCarty.

Cool... but which one should I follow to activate only the slug coils during coil split?

Howdy!

The first diagram shows a push pull pot that will split to the inner coils (the slug coils)

The second diagram shows a push pull pot that will split the inner coil of the Bridge pup and the outer coil of the neck pup.

The first diagram.
