I just got a used SRV Strat and would like to replace the black SRV pickguard with an aged white pearlized. Where is the best place to get a perfect match that will line up just right and not require any drilling for the screws?

The SRV pickguard is an 8-screw type patterned on the '50s-era guitars. Thus, the genuine Fender '50-style pickguard sold as an accessory should be a drop-on fit. They're available in several 3- and 4-ply colors plus the standard single-ply white.

If you get a '50's style I don't believe it will have the notch at the butt of the heel for the truss rod... but that really doesn't matter.

The original SRV pickguard lacks the relief notch as well -- but it can easily be added if desired.
