Hey good people. I just wanted to post a few pick of my new Black Top Strat (Which is my retirement present to myself). I got it on 11/11/11.
Here it is stock:

And now, Back in Black:

The necks radius was surprisingly less than what I'm normally used to from a Strat. I feel it's a neck more suited for a metal player, or a Jazz cat. I play Blues for the most part, so a traditional Strat radius is what I prefer. But I do have my metal moments, and the stock bridge pickup works for that. You can also get some really killer jazz tones too. The fret board could have been a little better. It was slightly ashy and not as smooth as I'm accustom from Fender (Even an MIM). I treated the neck for several days initially, now I'll play it hard for the next six months and then see if I need to repeat the treat. Well that's it, time for me to JAM! BTW, I named him Ace:

Peace... 8)

Nice score ny_byooboy!

And you bought it on national metal day, how cool. Rock!

I bought the same but with a maple fret board, and you are correct, you can get a wonderful variety of sounds with the different pup selections. The bridge is my favorite for all types of sounds, but especially for great crunchy rock sounds. Even after a couple of months use, I am still just as thrilled with mine as the day that I bought it. Every amp that I've tried the BT with sounds terrific, including a DRRI, HRDlx, JCM 800, BJr, Carvin X-100B, MB Subway Rocket, and maybe some that I forgot.

And what a looker! It just looks great and ready for any style of music.

Congrats! 8)

Thanks for the compliments Bro.
Yeah Bro, National Metal Day. When it came in off the truck I was like, "Cool, my guitars gonna have some serious Metal Mojo now!"

I really like your custom neck plate, very nice. Maybe below the "Limited Edition" you could put "11/11/11" or "11-11-11" or even "111111", it would look cool. Even putting it above "Custom" might look good, like a serial number.
