So I bought a Strat a couple years ago off of an acquaintance that I never use all that much, so I'm looking to sell it. I didn't know a heck of a lot about it when I bought it except that the pickups were changed for some Epiphone Les Paul humbuckers (i think), so I decided to look it up online to see if I could figure out what year it is, what kind of Strat it is, etc. I pretty much found zilch about this Strat, the only guitar I found that it looks like is a Squier Tom Delonge Strat. So, I'm wondering if I bought a Squier Strat with a Fender neck attached. I'd just like to know so I don't accidentally swindle a potential customer.

Here's some pictures:

Thanks in advance for any help!

I also have a question concerning how much I should be asking for this. My asking price is $200 Canadian OBO; is this a little steep for a used mexican Strat? Or really steep if it turns out to be a Squier?

Looks like a parts guitar do you have a pic with the pickguard off?

Looks like a "Straight Six" Strat, it was a lean and mean single humbucker version that Fender produced for a while.

Ah, good call, mthorn00! 8)

I knew there was something other than the Tom DeLonge that fitted that set up but damned if I could remember what. Now we need someone to confirm whether the Straight Six came with a rosewood fingerboard, because so far Google isn't finding me a picture of one:

On the other hand, the Tom DeLonge has a rosewood 'board but a '70s style headstock, so it surely aint' that:

Curious...

Could it just be a run of the mill Mexican Strat that someone has changed the scratchplate and put a humbucker on.

The volume knob is closer to the pickup than on either the Straight Six or the DeLonge. So like Nikininja said it's probably just a MIM Std with a replaced pickguard.
