I bought a guitar today. It's a Daphne Blue 2009 Fender '50s Classic Stratocaster. It has the small frets and a very shallow V neck (it's not nearly as pronounced as the V on my Tele neck.) I LOVE the headstock. It even stays in tune pretty well when using the tremolo bar (my Standards don't stay in tune nearly as well.) It has one tiny ding in it, but otherwise it's in good shape. It came with a neat locking tweed case and the allen wrench and Fender papers were in the case. I'll try to get better pictures when it's sunny outside.

Congrats..I absolutely love that color...It just screams vintage...

My 50's reissue strat is the one and only MIM strat that i have ever owned that i was 100% happy off the shelf (besides set up) and still today..

Most of the time i start modding MIM Strats right away not the 50's reissues there fantastic just the way they are..

I also love the 12 inch radius neck....

Here is a picture of mine..

Nice choice! Daphne Blue is one of my favorite classic Fender colors and I would have a hard time passing on a Classic Series 50s Strat with that finish if I saw it in the wild.

A Surf Green Classic 50s already got me. I was in a guitar store to buy strings, saw it and it had to come home with me. The power of GAS...

That's a pretty guitar. Surf Green is a great color. I'd like to have a Surf Green Tele.

I know what you mean about buying guitars. I've bought 3 Mexican Strats in the last 3 months. Two HSS Standards and the '50s Classic. I saw the Classic on the Guitar Center website and I knew I had to go play it even though I didn't really have the money. I have promised myself that I won't buy anymore guitars until at least March or April. Grrrrr.....

I had the exact same experience. I bought an Olympic White Jimmy Vaughan and a Sonic Blue Classic Player 60s right after I took the Classic 50s plunge. It was a guitar a month there for a while. :)

MIM Strats are addictive but I love all three. They're long term keepers.

I've bought a Lake Placid Blue Strat and a Daphne Blue Strat in the last month. I didn't have any blue guitars a month ago. Do they make Sonic Blue Telecasters?

Thanks.

There's nothing quite like bright desert sunshine to bring out classic Strat colors. It also helps cover up my lack of digital photography skills. :)

The Daphne Blue 50's Classic is really a sweet-sounding guitar, though I prefer installing a set of VNs with TBX/MDX circuits and block the bridge to get a Daphne Blue EC Strat without the Custom Shop price tag, IMO!

Not sure if you're a Clapton fan :|

Very Nice! I've got the surf green model and really enjoy playing it. The neck is one of my favorite things about this guitar.
