I would be extremely doubtful that they'd be made from stainless as that would be a significant cost factor.

Thanks for the link. Wow. I can scarcely believe that. I guess the cost of making those arms must not have very much to do with the cost of material because stainless typically costs five to ten times the price of carbon steel for the common grades like 304 and 316 and up to a hundred times as much for the more exotic grades of stainless like inconel or hastelloy.
