Hi all!

So I bought my first Strat! (I also bought a Tele, but I'll save it for that forum) I've been playing for 18 years, but do not have much experience at all with stratocasters. I figured it was time, so I took the plunge. The $100.00 rebate on the American Standard had a lot to do with my latest purchase. I was planning on getting one a year out from now. I must admit I really wanted the Sienna Sunburst, but I wanted to save money so I go the Charcoal Grey/Rosewood instead, not a bad choice.

I was thinking about switching out the pick ups and volume and tone controls, but after learning everything about this guitar and playing, it will definitely stay stock. I must say that Fender really does a great job on these guitars and I wonder why I took so long to invest in one. Its nice to have Hendrix songs sound like Hendrix. I know its an obvious characteristic about these guitars.

I don't know what else to say, if you're thinking about buying one I would go for it. the features are great, especially the pickups and the Delta System for the Volume and Tone Controls. I think the Delta is a big reason for not customizing my strat, but even more so, it just sounds great. the neck is goo too by the way. So I'm happy to join the fraternity.

P.S. It looks great next to my Jazzmaster and Les Paul!

Congrats! Got any pics?

I've thought about changing pickups, but the only reason why I'd change a standard would be for a noiseless variety. Those buggers kill me on stage and on recordings...
