Did you wish a return of Montego Black Metallic with that beveled gold vinyl guard?

I'm hoping for a all black HSS with ebony board.
Sort of like the "None More Black" model, but with
fret dots. HSS a la Jake E Lee's Charvel would be nice.

That would be awesome! Though i dont know what the future of fretboards holds. What with the ebony and rosewood task forces lurking.
I just want fender to bring back that deluxe locking tremolo. I can do everything that i did on 2 floyd rose guitars with this one strat. And well i would be happy lusting for a new american deluxe blackie.

Hey, you're not pickin' on that look, I hope! It's definitely not a traditional Strat look but, then again, S1 switching and HSS isn't exactly a classic kinda Strat feature set. Anyway, I like the look -- a modern day Strat is how I consider it.

You guess right, it's that finish I'm talking about, though I agree the Montego Black Metallic/Gold Vinyl combo has more of a contemporary appeal for a traditional Strat.

Since Fender has brought back the Gold Vinyl pickguard on the US Deluxe V-Neck it's a good reason to bring back Montego Black Metallic as a colour option for the 2012 US Deluxe HSS with the new Super 55 Split-Coils along with the deluxe locking tremolo as suggested by donnycraven.

LOVE my Monty Black Strat!

Donny, you can buy the exact locking trem from the early 2000's line of AD's online and drop it into any two-point strat you can want.

My personal wish list for the AD would be a trans teal finish with gold hardware, a return of the abalone dot markers and Texas Special pickups paired with a JB humbucker for the HSS and straight up Tejas Specials in the SSS model. I also have always wondered why Fender offered the LSR nut on the HSS, but not the all singles model... Is tuning not as important? The tired old excuse of "not as much whammyin' on a classic model" doesn't wash with me. You either need/want it, or you don't, so Fender should either include it on both models or leave it for the aftermarket.

Just my economically-adjusted two cents. :)

Where can you buy it online at? I replaced my deluxe locking trem that was a lil wore out and it was tough to find. I kept the old one for spare parts. But i had a hell of a time finding one new.

Well crap! Acme Guitar Works used to have them in stock, but I just checked and no joy. You can find them on e-Bay however, if you have the patience to lay low and watch for a good one that ends on a Friday night while everybody else is out partying, you just might catch a deal. The other thing I'd try is call the people at Acme and ask if they can source you one. They're great people and willing to work with their customers (refreshing!, I know!). I'll keep hunting and if I find a new one listed, I'll pm it to ya.
