When Fender introduced their new American Deluxe series guitars in March 2010, they incorporated a feature usually found on custom-made instruments: a compound 9,5"-12"-inch radius.

Since its introduction in 2008 the American Standard series was available with a variety of options, most being offered only in Factory Special Runs with the last incarnation featuring three Fender Vintage NoiselessTM pickups with TBX and MDX electronics.

Why not adding a FSR American Standard with a compound radius neck?

I agree, it would be nice if the compound radius neck were available with a few other options. I'd like a SSS Strat, with hotter pickups, and a compound radius neck. I'm figuring I'll have to put it together myself with a Warmouth neck. I really like the neck on my Am Dlx.

I built a strat w/compund radius. Ii was sceptical because I was so use to straight radius. Now, I dont know how i went so long without it. Though, id rather have 7 1/4" to 12" than the 10"-16" that warmoth uses.

Sounds like a great idea, but you're talking about a premium feature upgrade. Most likely you will, but might be only a hundred or two below the price of a Deluxe. Myself, I'd like to see a MIM FSR with a compound radius neck... :D

I have not tried out a compound radius neck yet. I'm sure I'd like it.
