Please post detailed photos or it doesn't exist.

Off-hand I would say it is not really a Fender but was something modified or built by this guy:

Well, that is curious. I've never heard of Rosendean.

It does seem to be a modified Fender. That bridge is unique. I take it that it's now a hardtail (ie, non-tremolo).

Any other mods? Pickup replaced?

Not such a wild guess. I posted the link to that site in the first response (mine) to the OP's question. Pays to read the entire thread sometimes.

My guess is a partscaster. There are no markings on the neck heel that you typically find on a Fender neck. Not sure about the body as the neck pocket photos are too blurred. But it does appear to have once had a trem. Bridge is rather bizzare looking with what appears to be two big bolts attaching it too the body. If there is no trem block inside the cavity, I would think that all that open space under the bridge would lead to a weak bridge mount and not too great sustain.

Thanks for all replys. there hardtail does have a block on it, the only marking in the neck pocket is a black stamped OK. it does sound really nice. probably the nicest sounding guitar i have. and it plays well. apart from the last frets being filed down flat almost!
regards
Matt

I had a look at the Rosendean site and he makes some beautiful guitars, but all are jazz boxes, none resembling your guitar. Why don't you contact him with your photos and ask if he has ever made/modified such an instrument? Settle the question pretty quickly, I'm thinking.

You'll just have to bite the bullet if you want more info:

You never know. That guitar could be worth a lot of money or be total rubbish. A phone call would sort that out.

Who knows? It could be the first one the guy built and worth a small fortune.

Or it could be a knock-off of a knock-off.

If it's a knock off of a knock off, is it an original? haha :P
