Ebay is not so bad...you just have to know what you're looking at before you bid. I have a white USA Standard Stratocaster with rosewood fretboard from about that time. It is one with an N9 Serial number (but not a 1999) that was made somewhere around 89-91 I have never taken her apart to see what other evidence of manufacture year I can find. If you don't use Ebay, finding a very specific guitar like this will take a while, cause you will have to just wait until one pops up for sale locally or on Craig's List. : / If you have a Stratocatser from 1981, maybe we can trade LOL!!!!

Hi, I saw your question and thought Id respond.I actually just sold my 91 fender 3 months ago for a fender cs guitar made to my specs.Selling that was a hard thing to do as I bought it back in 96.But I saved up for a cs.So with that being said, my 91 was amazing.Everything about it top to bottom.It was black and had a slim profile neck(best neck I've played) and had a universal route so I expiremented with many different pickup choices.So if you have any questions, I could surely answer them.As far as not buying from ebay I have a solution there is a website www.gbase.com that is for independant dealers and you can find anything.Good luck in your search!!!
