This pic is from a strat for sale, the scratchplate has a couple of small holes, if there anything other than light "damage" does anyone have any idea what they might be?

It appears that a Roland synth system or a piezo-electric pickup was once mounted to the instrument.

Guitar dater says it was made at Fullerton 82/83. The serial no letters arnt exactly in a straight line, not sure if that means anything, the pics etc suggest the guitar is genuine.

Contemplating pulling the trigger? Not decided yet though.

A new pickguard will conceal all evidence of the previous "sin".

It's a nice instrument -- I'd grab it if the price were right.
