Why did you buy a blacktop in the first place when the first thing you do is changing the pickups? They are single-coils, if I'm not mistaken. Now you made it a real strat

I like your guitar even more now 8) congrats!

Cheers from Tsüri

Hi Amerigo and thank you,
i choose this one (blacktop) because i liked too much the combination between maple fretboard/sonic blue body, plus 22 frets which other MiM they don't have. And i can't buy a Custom Shop  . I wanted something that i can customise "out of the box"..and with a good base to start with...

Hi Schritzer and thank you very much for the compliments! It's a very versatile guitar now, that's why i love so much this DG20 set from EMG. I'm from Tessin :)

Yeah the DG20 really is a very versatile set, such a massive tonal range. I bought it specifically for those Gilmour PULSE tones, but you really can get everything from single coil to humbucker tones out of them.

Ah I have a friend from Bern, not too far away from you I think. Few hours drive.

Love the Blacktop, looks great with those EMGs. Looks like lots of folks are modding these things, I put some GFS Texas wound pickups in mine.

Saw a sonic blue one on Craigs the other day for $275. If it had a maple neck I would have been all over it.

Nice guitar, even better after the mods. I love the way the Blacktops play. Not too keen on the original pups, but as you know easily changed out. Welcome to the Forum.
