Hi everybody,
my name is Chris, i'm 36 and i'm playing guitar since '99, with a forced stop from 2007 to...1 month ago...ah, and i live in Switzerland :)

Today, in this weird date (11.11.....11  ) i finally received my new Fender Strat Blacktop in Sonic Blue, wich i already customised a bit with aged white knobs/switch tip/tremolo arm tip (original Fender Kit) & original Fender locking tuners (not mounted yet)

I really love this guitar, it sounds amazing and it's a joy even for the eyes..here's some pic of her :)

Welcome to the forum and very nice guitar you got there. You don't see alot of Sonic Blue guitars with a maple fretboard and it is a great combonation. 8)

Welcome to the forum, Stingy! Nice guitar and as mentioned already, even nicer photography. Amyzing what these little snappers can do nowadays (and in the right hands, of course! :)) Watched this vid recently where an iPhone 4s was put against a Canon 5D, amazing similarities one must admit. Ah, here is that link: http://news.cnet.com/8301-30685_3-20123 ... d-mark-ii/

Anyway, glad you're back on guitar after that long break! Rock on!

Cheers

Nutter

Only if you know what you're doing. And it seems you know.

Congrats!

Tomorrow i'm gonna change the tuners (with the original Fender locking) and i'll give her a couple more shots..:D i've also ordered one of those cool Mustang amps for home (at the moment i'm using a POD or a pedalboard straight into my pc or headphones...)..if in the future i'm gonna join a band again..i'll get another Mr Amp back :D (i had a JCM 800 50W single cone combo back in the days..and i miss this beast so much  )

Hi Stingy

Locking tuners are great, I have 'em too. And look into the Blackstar HT-1 amp for a small home amp.

Cheers

+1 Amerigo
When i said "Mr Amp" i was thinking about a Blackstar HT5 for small gigs e rehearsal. For home i've already ordered this little Mustang I, i came across alot of reviews, plus i've checked here on the forum and many customers they talk very positive. There's a review by the Andertons where they compare many different practice amps, and last they checked the HT1 too, i love small tube amps but i preferred to have something more versatile since the Mustang can record directly via USB :D
