Around $2750 to $2900. Deduct $200 for a hardtail.

Try Vintage Guitar Magazine, or Gruhn's Guitars.

I would expect them to go for way more than $2,000.
More lke $10,000.
They are very nice well built guitars that preceded the decline under CBS.

Might find her more valuable and the parting less sweet sorrowful ten years from now.

I've still got my '74 (I know "post CBS") and it's a great guitar. Unless you really need the coin, I'd hold on to your '71. It will only increase in value. It's already worth much more "parts'd out" that in complete form. NOT that I'm suggesting tearing it apart.

Be strong brother - do not sell. If you ever have another mental lapse...post again and someone will talk you back from the edge.

Thanks for all the support. Are the parts really worth more than the whole? I could never part out this guitar knowing that it is not a "parts" guitar. I wonder how many of these vintage fenders are made up of non original parts from several guitars? does it really matter though being these guitars are assembly line guitars anyway?
