I recalled when Fender produced their Elite Stratocasters back in the mid-1980s they tweaked the timeless Strat design by adding a side-mounted jack socket instead of the trademark recessed oval jackplate in addition to the active electronics and the biflex truss-rod.

Almost all Stratocasters came stock with the recessed jackplate, however an American Standard with a side mount jack in the form of a Factory Special Run would be a nice addition the the whole series.

Nice thru body hardtail, are those stacked HB's ? hence the coil switch..?
