It looks very beatiful indeed polished. And I thing it goes even better with the maple neck.

But I have to say I like that satin look and the original purble bluish color.

As for the pickups, I can say I really like the sound of my guitar. Even being a standard MIM model, It sounds to me there's no difference from an American Standard.

Is a MIM standard in Midnight Blue Satin Finish. I have one with rosewood fretboard. Nice guitar.
