I played a Stratocaster in Guitar Center today. It was black, black pickguard and pickup covers, 3 single coils. What was unusual is that it had the spaghetti Fender logo, with the contour body decal and the synchronized tremolo decal. It had some decal on the back that said "limited edition" or "special edition" or something to that effect. I assume it was Mexican but I forgot to look. I can't find it on the Fender site or the Guitar Center site. It was priced at $499. I would have bought it but GC wouldn't budge on the price. Is this a special GC only model? I really, really liked the headstock on it and the blackout looks were cool too.

Too much data remains unknown to definitively ID the guitar.

Number of frets?

String spacing at the bridge?

Type of tremolo?

Fretboard radius?

Type of tuning machines?
